Newberry National Volcanic Monument - Paulina Lake

Just south of the city of Bend, Oregon are the lava fields in the Newberry National Monument.
There are two lake filled craters in this area and the highest point in the area is just under 8000 feet.
From this high point both lakes can be seen and mountain peaks along the Cascades can be seen
from Mt. Shasta in California to Mt. Adam in Washington.
