Death Valley - 1999 Trip

Hunter Mountain

One of the most interesting trips in Death Valley is the road to Hunter Mountain. From the Ube Hebe take the road to the Race Track. When reaching Tea Kettle Junction take the left fork to Hidden Valley. There one passes the Lost Burro Mine. The road up to Hunter Mountain is a thriller, and the views are spectacular.

Unfortunately I lost most of the pictures from this trip, but there are a few that are shown on this page.

This is "Tea Kettle Junction"

There are a lot of tea kettles (and other stuff) to mark this important junction.

At the top of Hunter Mountain we found a swell place to camp. Here is Cliff.

And here is Judy. Yoshiko, Sarah and I stayed here several years ago as well. It is a great spot.
