In July we took a trip up the Northern California coast.

Here are some pictures taken on that trip.

The first place we visited was the Point Reyes National Seashore. We visited the famous lighthouse there and the Johnson Oyster Farm

Point Reyes Lighthouse.
The windiest and wettest point in the 48 continental states

.

In the background you can see the oysters ready for unloading off the barge at the Johnson Oyster Farm

These workers are shoveling the oysters from the barge onto a conveyer belt

The oysters are carried up on a conveyer belt where the workers sort them according to size

There are piles and piles of empty oyster shells lying around

Behind the oyter sheels is Schooner bay, part of the Drakes Estuary
