In October 2002 we took a trip to Los Angeles. We chose to drive down the Eastern Sierra Scenic Byway, US Hiway 395. Our route took us first through Yosemite National Park and on to Mono Lake. In the Mono Lake area we took side trips to the ghost town of Bodie, to Twin Lakes and the June Lake Scenic loop. From there we headed south, stopping at Mammoth Mountain then continuing on to Independence, Manzanar, Mt. Whitney, the Alabama Hills and the Owens Valley.
We stopped in Los Angeles to complete some art related business and did some sightseeing in the downtown area (Little Tokyo). On the way back home up I-5 and US 101 we stopped by King City for our last stop.
The pictures taken on this trip are grouped in a chronological sequence. You can go through them sequentially or use the icons on the left of this page to jump the areas of specific interest.
