The hot springs of Yellowstone

There are many hot springs in Yellowstone and we saw a lot of them.


The waters in many springs are a beautiful blue. This spring has a beautiful salt encusted crenellated edge

Blue Star Spring. A deep, dark blue color.

A small, very hot spring

The periodic boiling action is quite vigorous

After the water receeds this spring has a marshmallow-like appearance

Cooler, yet still quite warm. temperatures correlate to the warmer orange, yellow, green and red colors

A boardwalk permits safe travel through the spring and geyser areas.
