Norris geyser basin,Yellowstone
Near the West Entrance of Yellowstone is the Norris Geyser Basin. Due to recent movement in geothermal activity much of this area was closed off for visit. But we did manage to see some of it, including the largest (highest) geyser in the park, Steamboat Geyser.
 Steamboat geyser showed some activity with water spouting to about 35 feet. Maximum heights of near 200 feet have been reached at times |
