Old Faithful Geyser
It was just a short drive from Moran Junction to the Fishing Bridge in Yellowstone. When we arrived we were under a heavy cloud of smoke and ash and we could see large fires burning across Yellowstone Lake. This was the Grizzly Peak forest fire and it was just five miles from our camp. We were put on evacuation notice, but fortunately the firefighters were able to set a backfire and eliminated the risk of danger to us.
The photo ops in Yellowstone were amazing (great lighting and a lot of geyser activity) this time and, again, I have trouble paring down my selection for the web page. We also saw a lot of animals as well, especially bison, but also bald eagle, moose, grouse, elk, etc.
