Lunenburg Fishery Museum
There is a very nice fishery and boating museum in Lunenburg. We learned a lot about lobster fishing and the old style of cod fishing where line and hooks were set by fishermen in dorys that were sent out from schooners.

 Dorys were manned by two fishermen working together. The boat were quite stable and well designed for their fishing purpose. |
 All the fishing line and bait were stowed in the boat. When the catch was complet the boat would be filled to the brim with cod fish. |
