A Cross Country Odyssey - 2003

St. Anns College and MacDonalds Farm, Cape Breton Island

Celtic culture and traditions are taught at St. Anns College. A fine museum is there that exhibits all the Scottish tartans and other items. Traditional music and dance are also taught there.

Two ladies and a Scottosh piper in kilt. They think he is cute.

The piper played his bagpipes for us.

We toured the MacDonald farm which was operated until about 1950

The old MacDonald farmhouse. The redheaded tour guide is a MacDonald and the great grandson of the MacDonalds that built the house

A Mennonite family joined us on the tour. They seem quite familiar with all of the old appliances on exhibit at the farm
