A Cross Country Odyssey - 2003

Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia

Cape Breton Island was settled by the Scots in 1621. Before that French settlers had established outpost communities in the area. Today there remains a very strong Scottish influence on the culture of much of the island.
We set up base camp in the town of Whycocomagh and spent three days exploring the area.
