A Cross Country Odyssey - 2003
Pet Show
A pet show is held at the International Rally and since we had a couple
of pets (Aiko and Taro) we participated in the event. Of course the activity
is dominated by dog owners but there was a place for cats and other pets as
well.
There were various catagories under which a pet could be entered, including
obedience, tricks and costume catagories. Since our cats were neither obedient
nor trick oriented we entered them in the costume catagory. Yoshiko and Tsukiko
stayed up late at night preparing beautiful decorations for the cats to wear.
When we got there we were sandbagged. Our cats had to participate in the obedience/tricks
competition. There was no costume competition. Of course they came in dead
last. The cats acted like dead meat when it was time for them to "perform."
The ladies worked so hard to make such nice costume too. I think they would
have done well in a costume category.
