We participated in the 46th International Rally of the WBCCI (Wally Byam
Caravan Club International) which was held at the Expo Center grounds at Essex
Junction, Vermont. Nearly 2000 Airstream units were there and the place was
set up like a small town for the time we were there.
When we arrive it was very hot (like 100 degrees F). Not what we expected
for Vermont. Electricity was quite limited (like about 2 amps per unit) so
we could not use our air conditioners. But we managed to tough it out and
could always go to the expo buildings if we wanted to cool off.
Some of the activities there included talks and demos by RV parts vendors,
art and craft contests, pet show, flea market, both new and vintage Airstream
open house, parades, and evening entertainment.
