Vermont Granite Quarry
The Rock of Ages granite quarry is located in Graniteville, VT. Vermont is famous for high quality granite. The quarry was a fascinating place to visit and to see how the stone is taken from the ground and used.

 A lot of cables and winch towers are used to move man, machinery and stone about. |
 The granite blocks that are removed are quite large. It takes about one week to remove one block |
