In upstate Western York State lie the Finger Lakes. To see them on a map they look like the fingers of a hand reaching down the state. The weather in this area is very mild and there are many vineyards and farms in the area.
At the south end of Seneca Lake lies Watkins Glen. There is a beautiful glen there and is the feature of Watkins Glen State Park. Nearby is the famous Watkins Glen race track. Porsche races were being held the weekend we were there.
