Colorado National Monument

Wind sculpted sandstone in Colorado National Monument

From Colorado National Monument we could see north across the Colorado River valley to the snow-capped mountains beyond. It was the snow storm that coated these mountains that forced our stay of an extra night in Fruita.

The "Kilns" are a well known landmark in the monument.

Yoshiko is looking at the distant view.

After the snow storm passed we had nice weather.

The Colorado river and our campground are down in the valley below.
