Smithwoods Rally

February 2004

Hi! This is your Vice President Robert Stansbury with the February Rally Report. Well we only had 5 rigs present but if you count all the folks that showed up at different times on the weekend, we had quite a crowd. As usual, the Correia's and Pini's arrived first on Thursday night. Friday saw the arrival of the Irelands, Stansburys and Charles Clark. We all got to meet the Ireland's relatives that night. Wes's daughter and housemate and Barbara's daughter, husband and two kids joined us for a dessert potluck. At Saturday's pancake breakfast we met a prospective new member, Steve Rapa and his dad Lou. He just bought a 1963 Airstream to renovate. Charles Clark introduced us to his next door neighbor, Jim Gilmore. It was a beautiful day on the ocean and we enjoyed our guided tour at the Seymour Marine Station. That night at the pot luck dinner, the Stansbury's son Troy and nephew John showed up. After the Costco muffin breakfast and church service, members Tom and Roxanne Leitzke showed up to say hello. A good time was had by all and we hope our contingent at the Hobo had a good time too. See you in Los Banos. RLS
