Betabel RV Rally

Boy can that Connie cook.  The Squires put on a great rally for the seven rigs that showed up at Betabel on the MLK weekend.  We didn't have enough rigs to secure a rally room but they gave us the recreation room near the office which worked out well.

As usual the attack was on at the outlet malls in Gilroy.  We had some great rainbow weather with showers and sunshine.  With the superb blacktop and facilities, the rain was no problem.  By Sunday the weather was gorgeous and it remained so through Monday.

I had come down on Friday and Cecelia and her mom came on Saturday.  They left after Sunday dinner and I followed on Monday.  The Squires and I were the last to leave and as I said good bye to Connie and Carter I went brain dead and dropped my 60 pound trailer hitch on my big toe.  It hurt so much that I couldn't even cuss.  It immediately began to bleed.  Angels in training Connie and Carter came to the rescue.  Connie dog sat Zachary while Mr. S. took me to the ER in Gilroy.

As the pain began to subside, the Doctor began sticking needles in my toe which was not fun.  Thank goodness it was Novocain and the pain subsided.  Pull off the nail, 4 stitches, and x-rays showed that the bone was pulverized.  Then he taped the nail back on, gave me a tetanus shot and Carter took me to the trailer.  I managed to drive back home (right toe tip broken and needed for gas and brake) and am still recovering.
